Portfolio Management

The process of determining the optimum mix of stocks, bonds and cash that balances the investor's  risk tolerance, cash flow needs, time frame, and investment objectives, that considers management costs, tax-efficiency, and diversification.


Probate is the legal process of administering the estate of a deceased person are resolving all claims and distributing the deceased person's property under a valid will. A probate court decides ability of a testator's will.  Probate interprets the instructions of the deceased, decides the executor as the personal representative of the estate, and adjudicates the interest of heirs and other parties who may have claims against the estate.


A legal business association of two or more individuals co-owning a business. The partners share the profits. The most common partnership structures are general and limited partnerships.

Pro Forma Statements

Hypothetical financial statements as they would appear, if some event such as increased sales or production were to occur.

Promissory Note

A financing instrument that states the terms of the underlying obligation, is signed by its maker, and is negotiable.
